3 Cozy Mystery Series I’m Loving Right Now
There are so many cozy mystery series out there. Which one do you read first????
Do you spend hours on Pinterest, pinning books to add to you TBR (to be read) pile?
Me too. Sometimes I feel like I spend more time looking at pretty book covers on Pinterest than I do actually reading! Well, let me help you find that perfect book. I love to share my favorite cozy mystery recommendations and cozy mystery book reviews. Here are three cozy mystery series that I am loving right now.
Let’s talk about some books!
Cozy Mystery Series #1: The Vampire Knitting Series by Nancy Warren
This cozy mystery series set in Oxford, England focuses on amateur sleuth Lucy and the knitting shop she inherits from her British grandmother. When Lucy comes to England for a visit, she expects to spend a nice week with her beloved grandmother and help around her knitting shop in the center of the charming and historic town of Oxford. Instead, she learns that her grandmother has passed away and the knitting shop is now hers. Soon even more surprises are in store, the biggest surprise being a group of vampires live under the shop in an underground lair - and they love to knit!
Cozy Mystery Series #2 - The Dinner Lady Detectives by Hannah Hendy
Margery and Clementine live an average life in small town England. Everything is quiet and peaceful. They get up every morning, go to work as cafeteria ladies in a school, come home, go to bed, and then get up the next day to do it all over again. That is until a murder is committed in the cafeteria at school!
The characters in this book are endearing, and the humor is classic dry British humor.
Cozy Mystery Series #3 - Marple by Val McDermid, Karen M. McManus, Dreda Say Mitchell, Kate Mosse, Ruth Ware, and others
This isn’t an actual series but an anthology instead (a collection of works by many authors). In this collection of short stories, different modern authors re-imagine the classic character of Jane Marple. Each story reads like a classic Christie mystery with Miss Marple featuring front and center. I really enjoyed each of these stories, and I loved seeing Miss Marple go on knew adventures.
I hope you enjoyed these cozy mystery recommendations! There are so many wonderful cozy mystery series to dive into that it can be hard to pick which ones to read first. What books are you reading lately?
